“That’s probably something the specialists and commentators should decide. I never believed I was the best fighter in the world. Nothing has changed with me. I trained just as I have trained before. It just so happens that I had made an error in my previous fight. So in training, I’ve tried to make sure that I don’t make that same mistake again.”

“If people think they’ve found my biggest weakness, let them try to take advantage of it.”

Sounds to me like he's a little pissed off and want's to prove to everyone that nothing has changed and he's still the same fighter he was.

Also, in the Strikeforce conference call for Fedor vs Bigfoot, he mentioned he "wouldn't mind training with someone like Shane Carwin". Would this be for dealing with the strength and size of Overeem and the bigger heavyweights?

Might just be the translation but it's interesting that he said he didn't consider himself the best in the world. I wonder who he would have ranked above himself?

Doesn't sound like he's pissed off to me, just sounds like his usual self.

The Carwin quote is curious though, i've never heard him say something like that before, thats interesting. That said though Carwin would make a great training partner for Fedor.

I think it's interesting that Fedor now seems to take an interest in what goes in the UFC. A few years ago he didn't know who Lesnar was. Now he's interested in Carwin and claimed to have been following Velasquez in the run up to his title win.

Carwin is up for training with Fedor...
Fedor has been a good guy to me. After the Lesnar fight, he sent me some very kind words that put things into perspective. He is a great guy and a great fighter.

I am going to be traveling for training this time around. I want to take in as much MMA as I can. I hope to make it out to Duke [Roufus'] and maybe even a trip to Russia if all things go as planned.
