Fighter of the year so far?

Alright guys, I wrote an article earlier about who I thought was the fighter of the year so far, just thought I would share it with you all and also get your thoughts on who you thought was the fighter of the year so far.

Hendricks beating Fitch and Koscheck this year deserved a mention.

The Fitch win was in 2011, albeit it on the final day, but still going off the calender year his only win of the year is Koscheck, if the Fitch win had been in 2012 then he would arguably be number 1 above Kampmann.

Not a contender for the #1 spot but I think Micheal johnson deserves a mention for what's been a massive improvement in his game to start this year off,with two wins of Shane Roller and Tony Ferguson.

I had him down to lose both of these fights.

Good read mate. Solid list. Kampmann's had two great victories, got his ass kicked by Alves but as you mentioned, got that bit of luck he deserved after the Sanchez and Shields fights.

I considered Johnson, along with Steven Siler. It's been a solid year for a lot of guys so in the end it just came down to opinion. If you take the Bellator guys out and have it as strictly UFC fighters then he would definitely be in there.

Can't argue with list and good read you got to go with Kampmann as No1 just on the derailing of Ellenberger alone Never mind beating a dangerous Thiago Alves.
