Is anyone alive?

It's been a long long time since i've been on here, but going through some old bookmarks and noticed the old armbar forum page so thought i'd log in and see what the latest was, only to see nobody has posted for about a year.

What happened? Internet Zombie apocalypse? Is this the end? Or did people finally get bored of writing an opinion and being abused by Mzrys or whatever that guys name was.

I have come back for some banter but everybody's disappeared...

We need a revival!!

I can't believe someone actually replied to this! It's been 2 years since I posted and i'd forgotten then just got an e-mail saying someone posted a response. I don't think anyone logs in any more dude, no idea where they all went!

So much has happen in the MMA world that isn't on here! Main thing being a certain Irish fella!!

I actually came on to see if there was any inside information on the possible upcoming boxing bout.

Quite upset this is dead to be honest... I may have to have a look through some of the posts... has Fedors downfall been documented on here?

So many guys were huge fans of him!

Revival HAS STARTED!

We are resurrecting the Armbar Forum. I haven't read the posts in years so not sure if Fedor had begun his decline when this was still active. So much has happened, Armbar never discussed the likes of Jon Jones rise to the top, the McGregor era, USADA, Bisping actually becoming a champion, womens MMA even! Very different world now. Fedor back then was undoubtedly the GOAT, different story these days.

No idea dude. I had stopped visiting for a few years and then when I returned realised it was dead, that's when I wrote this thread and then didn't hear anything back so assumed nobody would ever visit again

I got the urge to have a look at this site after about a year and what do you know, people are posting!!!

I have sort of lost interest in MMA a bit - the UFC has certainly legitimised the sport but now it's full of athletes, point scoring cuddlers and puff punchers, rather than out and out fighters. I miss the old days and the variety that a few large organisations brought. Oh and Bisping being a fucking world champion!! What a weak division that must be...

I remember Jon Jones being discussed and Anfield calling him a pussy for fighting below what he thought was his natural weight class. I loved that guy - so angry....

Is there some sort of way to get a message out to see if this could generate some interest.

Loads of good boxing bouts in the pipeline too which we used to discuss alot too.

So much stuff has happened in the years between the end and now.

I know what you mean about how the sport has gone, but I have to say a few fighters have started to grab my interest again.

Only this morning I have heard that GSP has agreed terms to take Bispings title away from him.

Ironic i nosed here a couple months ago noticed fuck all had happened and passed in tonight to see some postings.

In the heyday of this forum, if someone would've predicted that Bisping would beat Anderson Silva, Hendo and become the champ they would have been laughed at

also to be honest i also still think Jones should be fighting at heavyweight, he was 238lbs for a grappling match lately, thats a heavyweight!

I don't know what happened to this forum either, personally my interest waned heavily when Fedor retired and Strikeforce was purchased by UFC, DREAM and K-1 also went to shit.

I barely watched much fighting from 2013-2015 i suppose.

Same story here, powered up the old laptop to dig out an old essay, and get hit by some seriously nostalgic bookmarks.

Anyone still about? This used to be a great place to talk MMA or boxing. Now with Twitter I feel no one bothers, but you only get insults and negative opinions on those platforms. Anyone reckon we can revive this site? Always good people and good banter on here.
