    Babalu retires Babalu

Babalu retired this week at 37 years old. After his last MMA Loss he decided to call in a day on a 16 year career.

Babalu left UFC on a win, a win where he kept a choke on David Heath who had tapped untill he passed out saying "he (Heath) has to learn respect. He deserved that. He called me mother-fucker."

    Laughing

He didnt do badly after UFC, beating Soko and Robbie Lawler when he was thinking of moving to 185lbs but after going to Bellator and taking Back to back losses at 205 I think its was an Ideal time to hang his gloves up.

He never took Gold in the UFC but he started his career with a 12 fight unbeaten run untill he lost a really close decision to Hendo. He has some amazing wins in MMA Legend Tamura X2, Hw Champ Mo Smith, Mikhail Ilyukhin (Who beat Igor V. and Couture), TK.

He beat Prangley, Shogun and Horn in one night, Pele Landi-Jons, Diabate, Wiuff, Van Arsdale and Sonnen as part of a 10 fight unbeaten run.

A really impressive career and an unforgetable character. Wish him all the best for the future he is certainly more diserving of being in the hall of same than Stefan Bonnar ill say that much anyway!
