Yeah must be tough but i think if you play Sonnen's game you can have a laugh with him. That guy got really defensive and a bit aggressive on certain topics and Sonnen's never gonna back down!!

Best way to interview Sonnen is to just give him a forum. Personally if I were to interview him, the first thing I would say is "Chael, I have a long list of questions here but to be honest, you've already spoken on most of the topics before, what do YOU want to talk about today?".

After he gets his rant off his chest, then you go about asking him questions but not retarded ones like that DICKHEAD was trying to ask.

Genius as always from Sonnen. "Is this your first day?" was brilliant.

That interviewer deserved the abuse he got, kept twisting things Sonnen was saying to previous interviews like the parts about the nog brothers... tit

Whilst it makes for decent viewing, I'm growing a bit weary of Sonnen's BS though. Okay, we all agreed he pulverised Silva for 4 and a bit rounds, but, he got subbed, end of. Does Sonnen want to remove that part of the equation? If so, surely that makes it Kickboxing with Wrestling, and not MMA. Okay, he refuses to acknowledge the term MMA and prefers to call it fighting, but surely he should just man up, accept his error and focus on winning the title, which despite his claims, he hasn't done yet.

I am sure that a lot of his comments are 'tongue in cheek' but to dismiss a fighters entire career as being fixed....CroCop, Wanderlei and Fedor to name just three is complete and utter shite. He's hardly covered himself in glory with his conduct, let's not forget that this is a man who taunted Lance Armstrongs cancer. I am actually hoping that Silva knocks him the fuck out, and I am certainly not a big fan of Silva's.

I think you just have to take his BS with a pinch of salt,I'm starting to believe that most of his interviewers are in on the act anyway and i'm convinced 90% of his material has been written for him,but at the end of the day,it works and it works bloody well,I mean what other fighter with Cheals record can Garner the attention and promote interest in their fights like Cheal can.

He's a wrestler, who has 11 losses on his record and in his win column,60% of his wins have come by decision,it's not exactly the stats of a guy that everyone wants to tune in to watch is it,but because of the brilliant way he's been able to market himself within the last few years, people are definitely going to tune into a Cheal Sonnen fight now.

I personally think he's making himself look like a twat at times and I can't wait to see Anderson knock him senseless, but I have to give him credit for the marketing job he does,he's got me and I can't wait to see him fight again.

    ouch!!!

by the way, does anyone know when Sonnen started putting on this act? to me it seems like 2 or 3 years ago he was just another boring wrestler with no personality to speak of.
Maybe he has always acted like this, he was just never in the limelight before.
