I expect them to both be champs in 2010, Anderson loosing to Vitor and Machida is loosing to Shogun. Id love to see them fight, Style wise I think it would make for a classic. Im a huge Shogun fan, after Wandy he is prob my next favorite figher but Id honestly back Vitor. I think he looks untouchable on current form.... probabally a controversial SD, I do think it would be very close!!

I will see this time next year (God willing), how many i get right.

Randy to me has lost his appeal, Ive just got no intrest in watching him fight anymore.

I think the UFC have made the most pointless fight for a while with Coleman & Randy!

The guy is 47 and still fights so all credit in the world to him for that. I just dont see him as a credible fighter to beat anymore!

If anyone fought Randy it wouldnt propel them to a title shot with a win! However people will say they got beat up by a 47 year old if they lose!

Yeah I'd put my money on Lil Nog.

But thats the bueaty of Randy though,we all count him out and proves us wrong.
he gave Big Nog a good run for his money,when i didn't think he had a chance.
He also whitewashed Belfort in all 3 rds of there last fight,when at the time I thought Belfort might get his revenge.

For who? I think Shogun would probably be too much at this stage but Mousasi is a very talented fighter, very well rounded. If he continues he could give Shogun a real test.

actually Randy was a favourite going into the fight with Nog, and got destroyed.

Destoryed is a bit exagerated I think. Outclassed but Randy was still competitive.

yeah i guess so, Nog knocked him down twice (or was it 3 times?) almost submitted him twice and had him mounted twice.

but Randy also landed alot of shots to Nog's head so it was competitive.

I didn't know the bookies had him as favourite.

Did anybody else on here think Randy was going to beat Nog?

I can't see how they worked that out,unless huge amounts of money must have been put down on Randy.

Before this fight I thought Nog would be way to much for Randy at this stage of his career but I was really impressed with the performance Randy put on.

I think some people had Randy as favourite because Nog looked so bad against Mir. I def thought Nog would beat him comfortably. Which he did.

Ye Most people thought Nog was done as a proffesional fighter and the wars had caught up with him. Turns out he just had a bad night and stalp infection.

a) Nog got destroyed by Mir.
b) Mir got destroyed by Brock.
c) Randy gave brock a good fight.

thats why. i guess people underestimated the effect of a nasty staph infection!

I admit I was kind of edging towards Randy in the fight. I was back and forth and then just picked Randy. Then Nog beat him comfortably. Thats what I get for pick a 46 year old man.

Haha you still really want Cung Le (the Welterweight) to fight Anderson Silva (The Light heavyweight) I really Like Cung, I enjoy watching him but I think he would need matched up with a lower level striker to keep it from being 1 sided Anderson would be just too big and too good. Id love to see how good a striker he is if he was thrown in with Wanderlei or if he could use his other skills against the likes of Manhoef.

Id love Torres to fight MTB, I really hope he gets back to his winning ways, Torres im a massive fan off, always enjoy watching him I hope he jumps to 145lbs. (Speaking of 145ers Also says he wants to fight Penn!!!)

Who you back Carwin or Cain?

Cung Le vs A.Silva. Okay naturally there is a big difference, but, if the fight was at 185, I still think that it would be a brutal stand up, but I see where you're coming from.

With regards to Carwin v Valasquez. I've made no secret that I'm a huge fan of Cain's, I see him having more to his game than Carwin. Although he'd definitely get his chin tested. I'd go for Valasquez in the 2nd (probably by GnP).

Yeah Cung vs Anderson would be cool though Id put Cung against someone else just because I think if Anderson can put Forrest down with a jab... I dont have High hoped for Cung! Id rather see Cung fight someone shorter so he could land headkicks at will, I think Wandy coming at him throwing bobms would make for foreworks! So your still sold on Cung after the loss? I have to admit I watched it back and I feel the stoppage was right, Cung was going to get pounded out, no complaints. Although I think he showed with his performance that he certainly has the skills to be a highly ranked figher. I hope he gets a chance to avenge this or a fight with Robbie Lawlor....

What other options are there for Cung? Personally Lawlor would be the fight id want to see, Failing that Id love to see him fight Minowa (if he wins the Superhulk) or Sakuraba! I think those would be cool fights.

Id back Carwin over Cain for now. I think were going to find out a lof about both in their next fights, Nog and Mir are the best either man has been in with. Judged on what ive seen Cain is certainly more technically gifted as a grappler and hitting pads his striking looks great (reminds me of Wanderlei because in training their striking is perfect but in the Octogon its no were near as refined) ID give Cain a good chance though because if Gonzaga can take Carwin down im cure Cain could....

Yeah Ben, still sold on Cung, just feel that 20months out had a bearing on the result. I don't think that there was any issue with the stoppage itself, but, you could argue that it could have been stopped in the 1st. Smith wasn't looking like he was intelligently defending himself, he was simply curling up and taking shots. I would agree that Lawlor or Wandy would be far better options of Cung. I would just love to see an old fashioned stand up war between Anderson and Cung.

With regards to Carwin vs Valasquez - Carwin was two time NCAA DivII runner up, and winner in 1999. Whilst Velasquez placed 5th in Div 1 of NCAA in 2005 (winning 21 in a row)was voted Pac10 conference wrestler of the year in 2005, won Reno Tournament of Champions in 2004. At Jr level, Cain was 4 time conference champion, was all-american 4 times and won 2 state titles. So, I would say, that Velasquez probably has the edge.

I just think that Cain has always, for my money, looked a more rounded fighter. We'll definitely know more after the next fight for both guys though, I agree.
