Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
WOW that was mad.
They were the worst but most powerful leg kicks I've seen.
The 2 time Polish kickboxing champ just got kicked around the ring and then pounded out by a monster.
Mariusz has the power in his kicks and punches to be a problem for alot of Heavywieghts.
But he has alot of work to do on his technique.
Overall though a fantastic debut.

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
That would be a good second fight for Mariusz though wouldn't it?
I'd say Mariusz makes Sapp cry in under 30 seconds.

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
I have never seen anyone run around kicking like that in any MMA i have seen. I love the way after he threw the first one, he paused saw his opponent buckle, then went bezerk kicking him repeatedly.
Anti-Climax??? Not a chance

6 - 8 years ago people were saying Sapp was an unstoppable monster (mirko exposed him badly), they could well be saying Mariusz is a cry baby 6-8 years from now, somehow i doubt it though.
saw this idea somewhere else, but how about Pawel Nastula for a second fight?
his 1-4 mma record is shit on the surface but he gave Nog, Aleks and Barnett very competitive fights and was thrown in pretty much with the sharks in PRIDE after being one of the greatest judoka in modern times.
could be a big draw in Poland.
edit: yours is a good idea though!
3 weeks till dynamite!! (still time)

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
Watching it over again, his technique is worse than I first thought, and at first I thought it was bad.
He was flat footed,he through low kicks with his hands by his side, infact after he threw the first kick his hands never came above his waiste untill he throws a punch, even when he chased him across the ring his hands were in a runners position and not in a fighting stance. If the guy had checked any of those kicks,Mariusz's chin was there to be hit.
Though to be fair Najman was in the fetal position nearly the whole fight after that first leg kick and I don't suppose you have to worry about being punched back by a fighter that is bent over, shitting himself.
I think if he is put onto the big stage to early it would ruin him.
We all knew his power was going to be insane and I'm sure it would get him through a few bigger names but if he can find himself a top camp who can work on his technique and keep him active against lesser fighters for a year or two,he could turn out be a real contender.
Unless of coarse we find out he has a glass jaw.
The problem though is your big companies probably won't wait as they could make a fortune of the Pudzianowski name now and I'm sure between the UFC,Strikeforce and Dream it won't be long before one of them tries to cash in on him.

The ground and pound was impressive. But that was the worst stand-up i've ever seen!
And his opponent was the polish kickboxing champ?? I'm off to Poland to get myself a belt!

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
Horrible standup but he still got the job done. Man is he strong though, he threw his opponent around like a paper bag. Those kicks are technically poor but they will cause problems, if they connect once your gonna feel it. He needs to train some boxing I think before he has a step up in competition. For his second opponent im not sure if one of the major companies pick him or if he gets another fight in Poland.
Pawel Nastula is a good idea actually, the guy has fought some tough opponents and done ok. Ok he has a shit record but as Chesty said he is an amzing Judoka so it will be a good experience for Mariusz. Sapp is another option but I don't think Sapp wants to make that mistake.

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
Sapp would work as an opponent, Id personally love to see him against Butterbean. Bean hits seriously hard and has much better standup than Mariusz also has some subs on the ground. Id love to see that happen. Mariusz would be able to drop his hands on those leg kicks.
To be honest sure he won but it was again a guy in the weight class below him. at 277 he looked smaller than ive ever seen him but still has some monsterous power, only think is with that poor technique some 265lbs guy who wouldnt be bullied as much would causehim all sorts of trouble. Watching him Box he was holding him breath when he was throwing punches! Reall really green at the minute but being the strongest man... well pretty much ever he will always have a lot of potential and will be a dangerous opponent for anyone.
I say throw him in at the deep end.... Fedor vs Mariusz NYE in Japan!

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
horrible, horrible technique with the kicks, just swing the leg as hard as he can hoping it hit...god help him against someone with any technique...seems to me just a guy who relyes on his bulk..

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
its hard to see what type of fighter could beat him, as long as he has a solid chin, no-one can stand his power, and i dont think it would be easy to submit him.

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
Shit, what power. Still its hard seeing him do that to guys as big and skillful as Werdum and Gonzaga. Gonzaga is like 255-260 and Werdum is almost as big as that as well. Plus there both excellent in BJJ. Fedor could sub him, Lesner could beat him and many others, strenth alone is not enough.

Re: KSW- Live Stream !!!
Haha very true but those rocks aren't BBs in BJJ as far as I know, and don't wriggle around nearly as much.
Mariuz was actally the first athlete I was a fan of, before Zola, Greenwood, Randy Couture, Farve, Jordan, Aggasi. He was my first favourite athlete.
