MMA Predictions League - Round 3

Just a quick post-WEC round up....

mattn1977 is leading the round after picking 8 out of 10 winners in todays event, but payneNglory1 is still leading overall. manchesthair_utd has ripped into his formerly large lead however, and is coming 2nd with Moose running a close 3rd.

A full table will be posted after UFC 106.

sunthunder, I don't have your UFC106 picks and you, additional generic and Raiden haven't put down the UFC award winners either.

If you have any questions, requests, suggestions or advice, please let me know, especially if it can add to the game and your enjoyment of it....

No worries - you are down in 11th about 100 points off the lead at the moment. You are top 5 at getting the winner right but you can't seem to pick much else!!!

I have included you in the league table and please keep playing - there are a few of you who joined a bit later so I will think of a way to even it up a little bit so you aren't too disadvantaged by the missed rounds. It looks like a couple of people have dropped out after the first round so I was thinking of redistributing their points amongst the late starters so you aren't too far behind....

Man Giginho you must be pretty sick of having to count up everyones score after each event. I think we should start getting other people to start alternating with you to count up everyone score.

I and i am sure a few others here would be more than happy to do the future rounds instead.

"Hazelett via Karo not turning up" loving that one!! Good call! What did youy have for Tito vs Forrest? I think Tito is proving a pretty popular choice on here despite not being top 10 and coming off a loss...

Anyone hear that Tito and Chuck are rumoured to be coaching next TUF?

I had Tito via split decision then I remembered that was the result of the first fight so thought I'd change it.

2 SD losses would be a rough break for Forrest! I saw the Pros picks on Sherdog 17 for Forrest and 9 for Tito!! I guess thats partly because people love Forrest and Hate Tito in general!

If the Forrest who fought Anderson turns up then Ortiz could bulldoze him. Forrest just didn't seem to be mentally focussed in that fight but I doubt that will happen again. Most folk seem to reckon this one will go the distance with a few going for Tito via stoppage.

I can't see Forrest stopping Tito so for me Tito's conditioning will be an important factor. Tito's camp claim that he's in his best shape for years, which they are bound to I suppose. However, his lengthy lay off could go against him. Forrest will likely try and pressurize and work his way to a win so Tito's gas tank will be tested.

I want Tito to win here, i am not ashamed to say that Tito is the reason why i got into MMA in the first place.


For people who cant decide who they think is going to win, why not pick the guy you want to lose...

That way its a win-win scenario

Not only are the shorts as smart as fuck but they are officially the first award handed out on the Armbar and there is no chance in hell I'll ever depart with them.
