Really enjoyed this card from top to bottom. Thought the Aldo v Florian stalled a bit but was a decent 5 rounder.

Didn't see the Frankie KO coming after the 1st round but maybe should've after there last fight.

Stunned by J-Lo subbing Guillard that quick.

Nam Phan has awesome stand up but I can't help thinking he'd be better off in a Boxing ring.

Was impressed with Sonnen making light work of Stann that easily.

That was a great fight and a great finish fro Frankie! The guy has got to have the best cardio/recovery in MMA right?! But Maynard let him back into the fight in round two there i think. Should have pressed the action much more.

Aldo-Florian was a bit disappointing but hey. Mendes next?

Sonnen looked great and exposed what we knew was the hole in Stann's game, TDD. He should get a title shot now, and Stann should maybe fight Maia?

J-lau screwed me out of my trump, but great performance from him. Not sure any of us picked him there.

Great night of fights all round.

Still gotta see Stevens vs Pettis and Santiago vs Maia. Only watched the card on TV.

Guillards hole in his game has always been sub defence, All but 1 of his losses are subs I think. What did shock me was Lauzon rocking him on the feet, his boxing has come on leaps and bounds... it really doesnt help make the title picture any clearer at 155 after Melendez and Bendo/Guida winner. I wouldnt mind seeing Lauzon vs Diaz.

Sonnen is a bull, cant believe the speed and power on that double leg of his, and he wasnt scared to get tagged by Stann. Wasnt his best performance to watch but fucking hell it was a dominant one. He will beat Anderson in a reamach no doubt about it.

Kflo is a staller. What happened to "I finish fights" Worst thing is Aldo started to give him a taste of his own medicine and stall too. Shit fight for 2 guys who are considered orimerily Muay Thai, I actually enjoyed the groundwork better. Aldo is slick as fuck on the ground, Its hard to imagine how he is going to loose.

Nam Pham is awsome, 6 punch combos finding their home is a very rare thing. The difference in the damage to their faces said a lot considering how much smaller Pham is, he really swole Garcia up badly. Great fight, Stick him in with Jung Chan-Sung next for a guarenteed FOTN.

Fair play to Edgar that guy can take a hell of a beating, he spend the 1st round rocked and bust up, a 10-8 round, after he made it out of the 1st and Maynard started playing him at his own game and not chasing him down i could see it going badly. Gutted for Maynard because now he is 1-1-1 officially with Edgar but I think after 3 fights he will be a while getting a rematch.

    Was the undercard good?

It was all about Sonnen i loved every second of it. The Anderson fight will be epic. His post fight was awesome. To blow through Stann like he did and control him with ease was impressive I was buzzing watching it.

Thank god for Frankie spoiling all the Maynard picks, may have saved me from having a bad round. Amazing heart in the kid. Watching the first round I was already planning him dropping down divisions.

Lauzon was great too and brought Melvins title hopes crashing back down to earth.

Aldo Folrian wasnt much at all. Where does Kenny go now? He may as well get comfy on MMALive.

The event for me was great but most of my excitement came waiting for Sonnen and then the excitement after seeing him fight thinking of the build up to Chael Silva 2. Can't discredit Frankie tho. Can't wait to hear certain people's opinions on this one.

Fanastic Main card probably the best of the prelims were hit and miss (The Maia Santiago fight especially that was horrible to watch and I hope they release Jorge after his performance).

I had a sneaky feeling Lauzon would beat Guillard It reminded me of the Stevenson fight he got rocked by a jab and finished.

Phan Garcia is great to watch I thought Garcia deserved the Split decision though Wink

Damn Sonnen looked incredible his performance was nearly as good as his post fight promo total domination, fuck it I'm gonna say It now Sonnen will finish Silva in the rematch.

Aldo completely shut down Florian great performance from Aldo just Picked Florian apart.

Great Main Event and probably FOTY IMO great back and forth action with another dominate 1st Round from Maynard and a very unexpected finish in the 4th from Edgar. I'd be happy to see a fourth fight a 18 months to 2 years down line providing both keep winning.

Frankie Edgar number 2 P4P figher in the world? Interesting.

Sonnen is a legend, i'm not sure if he's insane or promoting or what but the Belfort stuff was brilliant! Very Happy

Maynard threw away that fight, I don't remember him shooting for a takedown in the entire fight, why on earth was he was so set on sticking with his boxing for the entire fight, he was just looking for the one big shot all night, you would have thought he had been training at Wolfslair with Rampage. Fair play to Edgar for coming back from another beating in the first round, it was nowhere near FOTY though like Cowboy said, other than the Maynard attack in the first round, and Edgars KO in the forth, nothing happened, the 2nd and 3rd rounds were boring, it didn't even with FOTN so I don't see how it was FOTY. I assume they'll make Frankie VS Melendez next, I can't see them wanting to risk Frankie against either Hendo or Guida, and with the momentum that Edgar is carrying at the minute, UFC will probably want to make the champion VS champion fight straight off the bat. I'd have Maynard rematch Nate Diaz next as well.

Fair play to Edgar, but I see that fight more as a Maynard loss than an Edgar win. I think it shows that the power disadvantage Edgar has at 155 is too much. If the past two fights with Gray had had've been with the likes of Guillard etc he would've been finished.

I think he should move to 145 now to be honest. Oh and he is definitely NOT p4p#2.

Maynard threw the fight away. He had it won after the first round. Had he done the same thing in the second that he did in the first he'd have woken up today as a World Champion. Edgar did brilliantly to recover but Maynard gifted it to him. The finish was excellent but getting KO'd by Frankie Edgar is a bit like getting beaten up by a girl. Embarrassing stuff for Maynard who joins Kenny Florian on the list of all time biggest chokers.

Florian tried to spoil the fight with Aldo and rob with his belt by doing nothing. Aldo beat him with ease and never really opened up. Winning that comfortably when not fighting close to your best against a much bigger man who's got a lot of title fight experience is the sign of a great champion. Shame we'll have to wait one more fight to see Aldo destroy Frankie.

Sonnen was incredible. Performance of the night. Ridiculously dominant. Great submission win. Anderson, make sure that belt is nice and shined up for when you lose it to Chael.

    Agree on both points.

It's a laughable claim that Edgar is top 2 P4P. He's not even top 2 at LW.

Think I'd back Nate to beat Maynard to be honest. Especially since Gray thinks he's now a boxer.

Edgar should be at Bantamweight or at least 145lb. I think he is smaller than Aldo and Cruz. Those champs are all messed up IMO.

Aldo should be 155, Cruz 145, Edgar 135.

Edgar cuts no weight at all, compared to other UFC fighters 20lbs isnt that big deal. Cruz should definetely be thinking about 145lb, Aldo should move up aswell. Frankie can make both, but wont go to 135 but i think his body can do it if he wanted it.

Could possibly give him the opportunity to become a 3 weight champion if he was willing to do so. He beats every at 145 not named Aldo IMO, and I think he'd roll through 135.

Was a good card, great performance from Sonnen.

Garcia has got some heart like, amazing fight again.

Maynard will be kicking himself for sure, definitely choked. I think in his effort to not gas, he forgot everything that took him to a title shot, certainly didn't live up to his name after round one, Bully? Fuck me, he allowed himself to be bullied by one of the smallest 155lb'ers that there's ever been. Edgar should think really seriously about moving down to 145lb, I know that Anfield in particular, will have a go about this statement, but, I could see him beating Aldo @ that weight, Aldo hasn't looked brilliant in his last two, when put under pressure. I'm aware that a lot of that, will be because of the weight cut, but, I could see Maynard, with his style putting him under huge pressure for 5 rounds, and whatever anyone says about Edgar, he can take a shot.

Was a bit gutted that Guillard lost so easily, really thought he might have had an outside chance at a title shot.

Was also impressed with Miocic as well, looks like he could be a prospect.

Yet again though, was confused at scoring last night, in the Cantwell/Massenzio fight, one judge scored 30-27 for Massenzio? There was no way in fuck that he took the first.

Yeah that was shocking how the hell did Cantwell not win the 1st Round, seriously the whole Judging system needs an overhaul as old and cliche as that sounds It is starting to become farcical.
