Lesnar vs Overeem at UFC 140?

Read that the latest in the GG/UFC talks is that Overeem said that if he doesnt get a title shot straight away he wants a big PPV fight against Lesnar and UFC are considering the fight for UFC 140!!

Nothing set in stone yet but damn this is a great fight, the 2 most Phyiscal powerhouses in the Hw devision in a classic Striker vs Grappler matchup.

If this does go ahead Im backing Overeem, Lesnar will only have 1 gameplan and thats to bull rush using his weight and get a TD asap. Overeem has a great Guilitine and Uberknees which are the Ideal counters to an opponent hell bent on shooting from the outset.

I can see Lesnar getting propperly Sparked in this one. Id love this fight to happen, its the prefect debut fight for him.

So is it pretty much definate that Overeem is coming to the UFC then?

If so the Lesnar fight makes sense i suppose. I'd have to back overeem to catch Lesnar at some point too....

Yeah mate he has been in negitiations with UFC since Boon heard he was cut from SF, apparently he is tied to a negotiation period with Zuffa before he can go elsewhere, in his case I doubt they want to loose him so its just about coming to an agreement over terms before he figths in UFC.

He wanted a title shot but Lesnar seems a fair compromise because not many fighters walk straight into a title shot in UFC, Nog didnt, Shields didnt etc.. the only one in recent memory who did was Hendo.

It was always on the cards Overeem went over to the UFC The whole GG conflict seemed a bit odd nothing seemed to add up (well on the Zuffa side) although I must say MMABay are possibly the most unreliable MMA site out there they are like the Tribal Football of the MMA world.

If the fight happens Money has to be on Reem to catch Lesnar at some stage as efils said, I'd be amazed If Lesnar doesn't get caught or hurt at some stage of the fight

Also reports that Showtime are not renewing contract with SF. And deal expires soon!!!!

I'm not sure this fight will take place, Lesnar isn't expected back until early 2012 at the earliest, and that was if his recovery went perfectly. If the fight does happen though, I think Overeem would probably win, based solely on the fact that Lesnar has been out of the cage for so long. We saw in the Werdum fight the weaknesses that Overeem has, and he wouldn't be able to throw Lesnar around the cage like he did to Werdum. It would probably be a 5 round fight as well, so at some point during the fight Overeem will probably catch Lesnar and that will be that, i'd love to be proved wrong though.

Overeem will destroy Lesnar, and then Cain or JDS will destroy Overeem.
