UFC in Singapore...?

seriously the guy is so much more likeable than Dana, and actually knows his shit.
UFC in Macau (or HK even) would seem to be the ideal place to hold an event, but the DEEP event which was supposed to be the first major MMA event in Macau this weekend was cancelled, appartently Kawaguchi got injured, but ticket sales for it were very bad.

I am doubtful that the UFC will ever go back to Japan to be honest.

A while back i had high hopes that the UFC would make a return to japan soon,but now,like yourself chesty i doubt it will happen,well not for a very long time anyway.

They will definitely be in Asia,and I think there's a good chance it could be before the end of this year,but it won't be in Japan.
When areil mentioned Japan,Lorenzo seemed to quickly enough aviod saying anything about Japan and just went on to mention the other Asian countries.

I think the UFC brand carries more weight globally and I wouldn't think they would have a problem selling out there 1st show in any of the countries Lorenzo mentioned,now if they could continue to sell them out afterwards and find enough local top talent for the home fans to follow,is another question,but it's great to see them trying.

Lorenzo does come across as a well spoken,intelligent,likable guy.

Agree completely! Lorenzo comes across as such a nice guy and he was into MMA long before Dana. He's been taking BJJ class for about 16 years or so. He really knows his stuff. I think it's obvious that him and Joe Silva are the ones that really run the show, Dana is just a big mouthed promoter ala Don King, but for me, if Lorenzo was UFC President, MMA would have been legalized in New York and every other state a long time ago.

I've gave strikeforce and coker my fair share of shit in the past on certain things but on this tournament,I'm just nothing but grateful for it and can't wait for it to start.

Absolutely brilliant competition for MMA and all fans,and is probably the thing in MMA I'm most looking forward to in 2011.

I still have some probably unnecessary concerns that they might still find a way to mess up what should be an amazing tournament,be it there own doing (contract renegotiation,Barnett)or things that are just out of there control,like injuries,(I'm so happy that they have Del rassorio v Lavar as back up plus two other fights to counter this possibility,I just really hope if an injury happens,they don't replace the fighter with a previous loser in the tourney,instead of an alternate)but I think that's me just being over critical,so I'm just going to give this my full support,keep my past criticisms of strikeforce and coker to myself and just really look forward to this taking place.

I can't pick between Fedor and Overeem, its at least 4 or 5 years since Fedor faced someone in Overeems form and you can never count Fedor out so I really can't seperate them!!!!

Brock comes across pretty cool in that interview. My respect for him seems to wax and wane. I think the beating Cain put on him is one of the best things to happen to him. I hope he comes back strong.
