I didn't know where to post this because I'm sure it's probably just some made up WWE storyline or something,so since i don't watch wrestling and don't really know,I didn't think it was worth starting a new thread for it,but I stumbled across this and thought I'd share.
John Cena Fired From WWE, Potential Strikeforce Superfight With Bautista Upcoming?
On last night's WWE PPV "Survivor Series", John Cena (as special guest referee) did not fulfill his obligation and thus has been fired by Wade Barrett. Cena, a 33 year old, 10 year pro, had a career in bodybuilding before transitioning to wrestling back in 2001.
"I'll miss you guys," Cena said to the crowd as he saluted them and celebrated with the crowd.
Though Cena does not have any amateur background in any combat sports like his former fellow wrestler Brock Lesnar, he hopes his mantra of "Hustle. Loyalty. Respect." will lead to him becoming a passable MMA fighter.
"I wasn't that good a rapper, but I hustled and got a deal. I wasn't that good of a wrestler, but I earned respect and became a champion. Now I look to take all of that and become the best cage fighter I can be," said Cena of his prospective MMA career.
"I retired him," Cena reminded us, in regards to Dave Bautista, referring to their WWE match earlier this year. "I beat him while wrestling and I think I can beat him in the cage. I'd like to see if we can get that put together, I'm not an old man, but time is of the essence."
John Cena was easily the biggest star in the WWE of the last 5 years. Will he be able to become a successful draw in MMA? Can Scott Coker set this up? Calls to Coker's cell phone number were not answered.

Awesome vid, thanks for sharing Axe.
I doubt that's true Payne, I'm just not sure Vince McMahon would ever fire Cena. The whole business is built around him and Cena has previously stated he has no interest in MMA.
He didn't really retire Batista, Bastista was pissed with the WWE because they promised him a movie role and instead they gave it to HHH. So he left.

Load of bollocks regarding Cena fighting Batista. Its called a "kayfabe" i think, when something is passed off as 'real life' even in the world of pro wrestling, anyone remember Vince McMahons death a few years ago
He'll be back in the WWE in no time, so i wouldn't hold my breath for his MMA debut if i was you.

He's most likely either having surgery or making a film. Generally when WWE stars get fired or suspended that's what they are doing.

This is a man who gave Hoost TWO beatings, was beating Bonjasky until he got DQ'd, nearly killed Big Nog, drew with Le Banner and challenged Mike Tyson to a fight.
Now he's just a laughing stock who clearly doesn't want to fight anymore. That's the most pathetic stoppage i've ever seen.
