Your problem there was that you were aiming at and hitting the target, you should always aim a half foot behind the target so that when you fist makes a connection it's travelling at full power. Also, plant your feet and generate your power from your back hip so it travels through your shoulder and to your hand. you get much more power than if your feet and in transition.
Yeah mate is was good. We didn't really meet any of the bigger names though because the queues were just outrageous. Wanted to meet Randy and Wandy but would have spent a good few hours in line and just couldn't justify it! Saw a good Q&A with Bones Jones, Lorenzo Fertita and another with Big Dan Miragliotta, got a chance to put my friend in an armbar in the octagon (again, you can tell ive got no fight experience)...
Had a look around the stalls etc, saw a few fighters lurking around, JDS, Kendall Grove, Ross Pearson etc. Saw Arianny but didnt get a pic with her
All in all it was OK. Ive never seen so many meat heads in one room though!
Thanks for the punching tips, Ive always been pretty good at those machines, albeit with an awful technique. That machine seemed to be calibrated to a harder level as all the guys in front of me were only hitting in the 400's and I managed a 520 on my second go. They were advertising it as "can you punch harder than Dan Hardy", the high score on there was 720 I think, dont know if it was him that set that!
