Thought it'd be fun to list the top five fighters with the most heart in MMA, and also the top five with the least Laughing

    Most heart:

    1. Stephan Bonnar

    2. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

    3. Chan Sung Jung

    4. Urijah Faber

    5. Kazushi Sakuraba

Could actually fit more on there but i limited it to five, others i think deserve a mention; Clay Guide, Forrest Griffin, Sam Stout, Heath Herring, Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva, Chris Lytle, Roy Nelson, Paul Buentello.

    Least heart:

    1. Wilson Gouveia

    2. Frank Mir

    3. Allistair Overeem

    4. Jonathan Goulet

    5. i cant even think of any more! Laughing Suppose MMA is just such a ballsy sport, there ain't many fighters with no heart.

    Sakuraba should be number 1.

with the possible exception of Nogueira none of those have come back from horrible beatings to win on several occasions.

I have no idea why 1, 3, and 5 are even on the list to be honest.

And 1 and 5 are based pretty much on TUF, looking at it i really should have put Saku over Forrest... but still Bonnar takes beatings in every single fight and still keeps coming forward.

And please don't tell me you're denying the Korean Zombie has heart??

to come back from a horrible beating is taking heart, to walk through punches is taking chin Smile

Shit yeah, how did i forget?

Can anybody think of anyone else with absolutely no heart? I was thinking maybe James Thomson, but he does actually have quite good heart, considering he has -100 chin.

For no heart - see that sorry excuse of a fighter from the last TUF (French dude that retired on his chair). Yager showed a distinct lack of heart as well.

Just finished watching the Sokoudjou/Alexander fight. That has to demonstrate the need for 'heart' in any fighters arsenal.

You're right, Alexander showed some real guts to withstand Sokodjou's onslaught (tonnes more than he showed against Kimbo). In contrast Sokodjou seemed to lose heart (and gas) as soon as he realised that he couldn't put Houston away.

he dominated the opponent in his most recent and most well known fight Neutral

how is he dominated in every fight? he has won several decisions, and apart from that alot of his fights end early.

Not the greatest fighter, but crazy Matt Horwich has to be credited as having a ton of heart,he's another guy that just keeps zombieing his way forward,no matter whats thrown at him.

I don't think I've seen the guy take a backwards step in a fight.

i agree that he is like the american zombie, i was at the fight vs Tom Watson and he totally won over the crowd and everyone was booing when he was robbed.

plus if you have heard him talk he seems like he is coming from the beyond somewhere lol, could well be a zombie.
