GSP doesn't want it, his trainer does. It's just code for "scared of Anderson".

I know he isnt a BIG 170lbs fighter but he wouldnt make 155 without killing himself

    VIDEOS AND PICTURES Scaled.GSPRashadEvans_t653x653

He isnt a lot smaller than Evans, I reckon there 10lbs in it. George cuts from around the same as Thiago Alves does these days (Anfield might be able to confirm it but I heard for his last fight or 2 he was only cutting from 200lbs or so)

His coach is full of shit, look at GSP becide any WW not named Rumble and he looks every bit as big. There is nothing on him to cut without loosing what makes him what he is, all that explosive muscle.

I always felt that if GSP was to move up to MW that Rich would be an ideal first opponent to use as a measuring stick. There's also Sonnen, Maia, Palhares, Mayhem, Stann, and Bitchping that would make interesting fights for Franklin.

Never thought about it before, but yeah,Franklin would be a great first fight for GSP,if he ever decided to move up,I'd really like to see that.

I think franklin has a good chance at beating all the MW's you listed, but it would mess things up for the UFC if he did drop and beat any of the contenders, since I doubt franklin would ever want to step in the cage with Silva again, and to be fair who would want to watch him get destroyed again,so all that would end up happening,is the field of potential challengers would get shortened by a guy that's not going to get another shot.

I personally would prefer him to go back to MW and have another run,but i think at 37,he no longer has any title ambitions and is just happy taking big money paydays against some of the former big names of the sport who are coming into the downside of their careers, like wandi, chuck,Forrest, lil Nog etc(he'll probably get Tito soon)

I think Palhares and Sonnen would beat Rich easily enough, but against the others you'd have to favour him. I think that says more for the weak state of the 185 division than it does for Rich at this point in his career though. I would like to see him fight Okami again to be honest. Not because it was exciting the first time around, or would be this time, but there was a bit of controversy the first time because Okami had been ill going into the fight.

Alves is on the Dolce nutrition plan now and is actually keeping his weight in check. If he can get his confidence back, he could make a run at another title shot. He's done well with his last two cuts, his managed to keep his weight around 190-195 between fights. He dominated Howard which was good to see and I still maintain he got screwed against Story. He wants Story again after he demolishes Abedi in the real main event of UFC 138. Then he wants Rumble. Then he'll make a run at the title. I think Fitch and GSP are the only two guys that have really had his number at 170 but with the right gameplan, the right weight-cut and re-gain and a little bit more focus on speed rather than power I think he could give either of them a much better fight than he did last time out. He fucked himself in both fights going in so heavy and sacrificing his speed and movement against GSP, and then messing up the cut and becoming the walking dead against Fitch.

I'd have to question Rashad's choice of shirt in that picture!

Anfield Reckon being lighter will only help his game, good to hear. He was so slow and plodding against GSP he walked into punches trying to close the distance, Alves is good enough at Muay Thai he should have been using leg kicks to set up punches or throwing a few flying knees, he sould have comfortabally outstruck GSP, I was shocked he took so many punches. Hope the speed helps, I still rate him top 5 ability wise in the devision. Im hoping he wins and Penn looses so they can fight.

A Smart move would be to offer Kos a rematch, Kos is higher ranked and he holds a pretty dominant win im sure Kos would like to try and avenge.

I'd be impressed seeing a 17 year old lad hitting the pads like that, but a 10 year old girl, very impressive.
