Howdy lads,

Just wondering if anyone would have any information on how i might pursue this. I've been considering this for a while now and I've been thinking of going to the States and doing big John McCarthy's courses and getting certified by him but having spoken to his people they advise to have at least a years worth or experience before going for his courses, so if i could do some refereeing here first before going to do his course i think it'd be a big help.

Anyone know how or where i should start in the UK?

Lol Ok sorry i asked! Please dont hurt me! On a serious note though the reason I ask is because my dad done a referees course with the ISKA that was for Kickboxing though because he has alot of experience in that feild it made it alot easier for him! He did say they teach MMA referee courses, You just missed one on the 1/11/2009. They normally do around 3 courses a year maybe more! Thats the location where its held and a contact number maybe worth calling them to find out more!

There's some good information on that website. You might want to check where Marc Goddard went for his training and Leon Roberts. Hope it helps and good luck, with your knowledge and experience I think you could make a great ref.
