UFC looking to make Belfort vs Machida Nov 9th

Holy shit this is a superfight if Ive ever seen one, Machida said he will fight Belfort at any weight though neither of them has been contacted by UFC yet.

Both fighters won 2 straight fights back to back after losses to Jones, I could see this one going down at 195lbs and the winner earning a shot at either belt.

Machida could want to face Weidman should he beats Anderson and Belfort is pretty open about prefering to fight Jones than Anderson himself.

Ive always wanted to see Belfort fight Shogun at a 195lbs catchweight but honestly this is every bit as good a fight, fingers crossed it gets made. Style wise the agressor vs the counter striker it has to make for a fun fight.

They have trained togeather before

at least a couple of times it seems

Very interesting fight I really hope the fight happens.

This fight could be an absolute barn burner or an absolute stinker I'm interested to see how Machida will approach this fight seeing how he got robbed in his last fight will he more offensive or just the same old tentative Machida.

Hard to imagine he will change up his style, Being agressive against Belfot sounds like a bad plan. This is likely a 5 rounder too so id imagine Machida wanting to take his time.

Belfort and him both have great straight punches but Machida uses his better on the counter, I can see Belfort getting tagged hard coming in with a flurry. Backing Machida to win without changing up his style, Belfort is that agressive it wont be a slow paced fight anyway.

I don't think Machida will ever change his style and certainly not for this fight.I think both styles make for an interesting fight.

Maybe it'll be a slow start,like when Belfort fought Anderson,with machida methodically moving and looking for counters and belfort trying to close distance to find his target,but eventually they will have to meet in the middle and trade,then we could have fireworks,as either can turn the lights out on the other at any second.

Who you see winning if it happens? Vitor is on some roll and Machida hasnt really been as impressive as he once has... I think Machida will find a KO shot against Vitor before the 3 or 5 rounds are up. Wouldnt count Vitor out after his last 2 wins, he has been more impressive than Machida but Style wise I think he will get countered.

I'm thinking Machida,but like you say,the way Vitors has refound his TRT,I mean youth lately,Vitor sparking machida out cold would not surprise me one bit
