Dana wants Lombard to move to 170

Makes sense, Great fights for him there. I reckon he will find himself in the title hunt even though it is a stacked devision, Big powerpuncher with grappling to back it up Id say He has every bit a good a chance as Hendricks at beating GSP, slimming down might get that Lightnight nickname meaning something again because he looks like he has lost a step and I think loosing some bluk might help.

Anyone see him going against the Boss' wishes and staying at 185 or will he move?

You all think he has a better chance at 170? His gastank has been an issue so I dont know if the weight cut will help.

There are a few Stocky 170ers not far off his build I think its a good move because he has had a shite run at 185 and is completley out of the picture.

Yep Lombard said on twitter he was trying to Lean his muscles and asking for tips. Id say Lombard could beat Any 170ers fighter not named GSP and he has a good style to beat him too.

I know many arent high on Lombard after 2 UFC losses but I think he could have won either of those on another day and Okami and Boetsch are as big as Mw's come.

Anyone fancy his chances against the top guys?

Another one Nick wouldnt mind fighting as they both love Boxing and Judo. Maia might run through others in the devision, Ellengerger and Hendricks but I think Lombards Judo would counter the TD better because he seems to be great at taking wrestlers down but Judo gives you balance in other areas and I think its a fight he should go for. Force a standup fight where id back him.

I'd love to see Lombard have a go at 170,where size shouldn't be as big a factor for him.

On his day and with his skill set and the power he packs,he can be a threat for most MW's,but at the end of the day,IMO he's just to small to get consistent results among the top MW,s.

If cardio doesn't effect him to badly,then I believe he could easily establish himself among the top 5 at WW.

Yeah ive as high hopes for him. If he strips Muscle it could actually improve his cardio, he was verging on too heavily built to be Ideal for MMA. Big muscles use your oxygen they say.

As excited to see him final move down as I was to hear him coming to UFC. Hope he hasnt left it too late at 35.

Would be a great Idea TBH I have always wondered how Lombard's career would have panned out If his WW fight at UFC 78 hadn't of fallen through.
