God told Aleks to come out of retirement, Maby Fedor is next?

Well Aleksander has just finished with the shortest retirement ever after a few weeks in some monestary the priests told him to go fight again... so he is back, a 3 fight contract with Profc.

Fedor has said he will only come back if God tells him to come back. Maby the weird Beardo guys will tell him Russian Jesus wants him to fight agiain?

Even if Fedor doesnt come back its good to hear Aleks is. I hope he has some decent opposition over in Russia because I think 3 fights there could see out the end of his career. Wonder if Sergei would want a rematch or Hepetitus? Id love to see them fight again, I think Sergei would do him in.

Peter Graham rematch is another one I wouldnt mind seeing, no special rules this time.

Hope Fedor trains with him even if he is retired, could see Aleks training harder under him.

I hope Fedor doesn't come out of retirement I really hope not and as for Aleks I think he is done too.

I think if Fedor needs to feel God's telling him to fight again to come out of retirment, he probably shouldn't fight again.

Religious belief can obviously be a source of strength for many fighters, but Fedor seems so incredibly equanimous about everything now, I think that his religious belief was probably a significant part of his downfall as a fighter.

He no longer seems to have that same intensity that would talk about eliminating his opponents because they stand in the way of his family's survival. He doesn't have that hunger anymore. He'll fight his heart out in the ring still, in the heat of the moment, but he doesn't seem prepared to work to put together the kind of gameplans that he needs to. Technically, I still think he could fight for the UFC heavyweight title, if he had the desire.

Although, while his current temperament isn't ideal for being a professional fighter anymore, it's probably a really healthy state for him to be in as a person, and I can only see him doing well in whatever he chooses to do from now on. In all honesty, even though I'm not religious, I wish I could be as zen about things as Fedor is.

Fedor's later career was severely hampered by his complete lack of professional ego.

A lot of fighters are very personally invested in their standing in the sport, they will talk about wanting to 'cement their legacy' or wanting to be remembered as the greatest, or how they love being called 'champ'.

With Fedor, you don't get the impression that his sense of self worth is in any way related to what he accomplished as a fighter. When it was put to him that he was an icon, he said the thought made him uncomfortable.
His goal, it seems, is to live his life in the manner he believes god wants him to and that's it.

As soon as he made enough money to never have to fight again, his decline as a fighter began.

If Aleks is healthy there is no reason he shouldnt come back, he has been volunteering at a monastery since his retirement so thats probably where God contacted him.
