    From the UFC website:

UFC on FOX 5's stacked card has added even more star power, with heavyweight power punchers Lavar "Big" Johnson and Brendan "The Hybrid" Schaub verbally agreeing to fight December 8 in Seattle, Washington.

Verbals are also in for two of the most exciting fighters in the welterweight division to meet as Matt "The Immortal" Brown takes on Mike "Quick" Swick at that event.

In addition, two lightweight bouts originally booked for the cancelled UFC 151 have been bumped to the Seattle date: Daron Cruickshank vs. Henry Martinez and Tim Means vs. Abel Trujillo.

UFC on FOX 5 Location, Lightweight Bout Announced updated August 21
The December UFC on FOX 5 event announced last week, which is set to feature a lightweight title fight between champion Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz, now has a confirmed venue. The December 8 televised event will take place December 8 at Seattle's Key Arena.

The news was first reported on FUEL TV's UFC Tonight.

Update: A lightweight battle between Ultimate Fighter competitors has been verbally agreed to as TUF Live’s Joe Proctor will meet season 13 finalist Ramsey Nijem.

Henderson vs. Diaz to Headline UFC on FOX event in December updated August 15
December 8th's UFC on FOX event is shaping up to possibly be the best yet, as a lightweight championship bout between Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz headlines, supported by a light heavyweight showdown between Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Alexander Gustafsson, and the rescheduled welterweight bout between BJ Penn and Rory MacDonald.

That will be a war.I would love to see Eddie Wineland vs. Michael McDonald co-headline the UFC FX 6 card. Let the whole main card go WEC retro.

    Donald Cerrone vs. Anthony Pettis

    Eddie Wineland vs. Michael McDonald

    Chad Mendes vs. Ricardo Lamas

    Brian Bowles vs. Ivan Menjivar

Monson is out of his Superior Challenge Lhw title fight because he is under exclusive contract with M-1 till the end of the year! Balls was looking forward to seeing him get back to 205. Insted DJ Linderman is stepping in and returning to 205.

Marcus Davis is also replacing Karo Parysian at the event because of "mental issues" Fuck me poor Karo has gone off the rails. I used to love watching him, havnt seen Judo like it in MMA since Crying or Very sad

Fabio Maldonado vs. Cyrille Diabaté for UFC 154 as Maldonado's opponent for the card in England got Injured...

Fight of the year I reckon! With this and Palhares vs Lombard I dont want either man to loose! Maldonado diserves a win though after being on the wrong side of the judges scoring a couple of times, he was totally and utterly robbed last time out and I love his style... best bodypuncher in the devision.

This one should be a war. Maldonado's future should be a 185lbs though, he always comes in a little soft.

Lorenzo Larkin (the guy King Mo schooled) gets a shot at the SF title over Jacare?

More unsiserving title challenger than Belfort by a long way

The fight between Lawlor and Larkin was set up to give Lawlor a shot at the title. Larkin beat him so he got the title shot, that was a pretty big upset. Jacare's fought two cans since losing to Rockhold so I'm not sure it's a big thing that he didn't get the shot.

Cracking mate ill get the card added! Ive finally got the internet in my new house today so ill be watching Minowa work his magic! I wonder if he is aiming for 100 fights before he calls it a day? Jin Soo Yuk his opponent is 0-2. pretty disgracefull even by minowas standards... Im also reading taht its a 187lbs catchweight?? Weird...

Tyrone Spong's MMA debut is going to be against James McSweeney, its not titan fighting championships but WSOF (world series of fighting) the same card to feature Miguel Torres, Bobby Lashley might feature on the card and also hearing that John Gunderson figths JZ Calvacante!! Sh1t they are shaping up to be some organisation. ]

ronys torres vs brian cobb is also on the card, as well as Rolls and gregor gracie fighting on it!!

I wonder what happened to the Titan deal,I only watched Spong himself on Inside MMA confirm that deal about 5 days ago?

But anyway, this WSOF is shaping up to be a good card, lets hope the are a success, the more MMA on TV the better.

After this mini break we've had,I'm starting to get DT's,I need my MMA fix.

I just read Sefo (the WSOF president)confirm the fight and that he thinks it'll be fight of the night,I completely disagree.
Spong is going to absolutely destroy McSweeney in under a minute, the first solid shot landed and that'll be the end.

If Rashad is still good friends with McSweeney, then he ought to talk him out of this one Very Happy

Sam Stout vs. John Makdessi @ 154 and Boetsch vs. Weidman @ 155.

The first fight on paper is going to be very entertaining and Weidman vs Boetsch rankings wise makes sense I suppose but honestly I think Weidman will smash him.

I imagine Weidman vs Boetsch will be very similar to when Boetsch fought Phil Davis, easily controlled on the ground and eventually finished.

I just don't think Boetsch has the skills or style to last with the top wrestlers.

Even against Okami he looked out of his league and totally controlled in the first two rds before he pulled out that amazing 3rd rd comeback.

Agree lads, Ive Boetsch was lucky against Lombard and Okami, I wouldnt back him to beat either in rematch... Infact I wouldnt back him over many top 10 middleweights in the UFC. Bisping, Franklin, Lombard, Okami, Weidman, Belfort, Munoz etc.. they would all run through him.

Weidman will stop him in a round (2 at most) I think. This wont go the distance!

Sad Lil Nog didnt get Forrest, Ive always though that fight would be a walk in the park for him, better Striking, TDD and BJJ. Plus he hits harder and it harder... would be the Idea fight for him.

    Hendo vs Machida
    Sonnen vs Bones
    Rampage vs Glover
    Forrest vs Davis

Really only Bader or Evans I guess unless they give someone lower ranked a shot at him, Vera maby?

Maybe not calendar-worthy in 2012, but here is one for the old school fans. Laughing
    RINGS legend vs Pancrase legend.

It has been announced that All Japan’s reigning Triple Crown Champion Masakatsu Funaki will be taking on Volk Han for the RINGS / THE OUTSIDER joint show on December 16.

This event is being headlined as Volk Han’s retirement match, and it
will be a dream match between the two, as they never had the opportunity to face in the Japanese MMA boom of the 1990’s. A fight that has been mentioned as 22 years in the making.

Wow I though Funaki was retired, absolute legeng! I though he was down at 185 for a fight with Minowa, not that size has ever been an issue but I wonder if its openweight or if he has let himself go!

I like this match up,both of them looked like they were back to somewhere near their old form in their last fights.
