    Post  Jud_Danger on Fri Apr 20, 2012 3:42 pm

M1 have confrimed on twitter that Fedor will face 3 x former UFC Heavyweight Title Challenger Pedro Rizzo.

Winner takes on Bob Sapp or Tank Abbott for the Can World Title.

Don't get ahead of yourself mate, first Sapp has to beat Mariusz Pudzianowski in the can world title eliminator on May 12th at KSW 19.

Yeah Butterbean definitely has to be considered to be next in line, maybe he can face Akebono and the winner faces Fedor? It wouldn't surprise me if M1 refuse to make the fight as Akebono isn't a big enough can for Fedor (excuse the pun).

In Fairness Rizzo is a much better option that that Rolles Gracie, Rizzo was top 25 after his last fight, Rolles gracie will never be top 25. Rizzo has also been putting in time at Blachouse...

Rizzo is actually one of the best options out there, better than Lashley or Gracie anyway. The only other options are M1 relativley unknown fighters.

Dont forget Rizzo beat Monson twice so he is probabally every bit as credible a challenge as Ishii or Monson.

I like the fight. There are very few options for Fedor outside Zuffa but at least he will add another big name to his CV.

My main gripe is that, at 35 him & his team arent looking for the highest level competion, the best challenge, the biggest name, the biggest stage.

They are simply getting names that dont look too bad at the side of his on the top of a poster in Russia or Japan.

I understand Zuffa pretty much have the best level fighters, but surely he still has something to prove, after the 3 losses, each of which you could argue a case for Fedor i dont think his level of skill has got worse...i just dont think its got any better!!

They seem to be just keeping him as relevent as possible whilst making them all some $$$

But as you say Ben, sadly Rizzo was probably the best option outside Zuffa or Tim Sylvia LOL

Fedor is finished. It would be hilarious is Rizzo knocked him out. Does he even care anymore? Where the hell is his pride, pardon the pun.

Sylvia rematch would be pointless because Sylvia hasnt really done anyhting but get fat since Fedor beat him down 1st time.

Id like Fedors team to push for a fight with Sergei, Again he isnt exactly a top 10 fighter but he is still a tough challenge and again a name that still means something.

I still want to know if Fedor will fight his last fight on his strikeforce contract...

p4p number1, who would be a good fight for him bar Sergei? I reckon maby if he rematched Mirko and beat him down worse than the UFC fighters have been doing that might be a good fight but as I said Rizzo was top 25ish before he went inactive

Yawn. Fedor is my second favourite fighter, after you-know-who, but I'm really growing tiresome with his career direction. I know it's not his fault (at least not exclusively) but I just can't help but think there's much better options for him than this shit. Granted, most options are in the UFC, but then he should be doing everything in his power to get either leave M1, or to get M1 into the UFC.

Haha! Never would have occurred to me if I hadn't watch all of the Harry Potter films in two days. Hadn't seen them before. Head was spinning afterwards.
