I <3 Ronda Rousey. Megumi Fujii especially, and Coenen too are both pretty skilled and fun, and it was easy to root for Gina when she fought, but Rousey>>>>>>>>>>>them.

Ronda/Tate was the most exciting WMMA fight Ive seen. Maybe thats not really objective and just a reflection of the interest going in. I was pretty hyped up for it beforehand, just stayed up now to 5am watching this card instead of downloading it the next day because I wanted to see Ronda/Tate live.

Cool watching and knowing exactly what Ronda's biggest weapon was, i.e her armbar having finished 7 opponents with it under a minute leading up to the fight. Got tagged at the start, got that takedown, tried to get the armbar, got reversed, got her back taken etc then eventually she got the armbar again.

Anyway Im going to bed. Ronda is sooooo good for WMMA

Apparently Zuffa are planning on terminating the womens divisions later this year. It would be a shame, maybe Ronda can save the 135lb division at least.

One of the showtime execs has set up an all female org called invictus cage or something. That's where Marloes Coenen will be fighting next. I can't see that being too popular, I like womens MMA and the fight tonight was amazing, but for some reason I just don't fancy the idea of womens only org.

It's probably because all the female fights I'm interested in over a year couldn't make 2 decent cards.

In the forseeable future, there's Rousey-Kaufmann, Rousey v Marloes at 145lbs, Rousey and Marloes vs a roid-free Cyborg and a Megumi-Frausto rematch... and I can't think of any more.

Interspersed across numerous mixed cards these fights are a nice bonus, but I don't see myself having the interest to watch a 100% female card

Then again, the argument would be that if I saw more womens fights, I would then become interested in more women fighters.

Marloes fights at 135 too. Too bad she was cut. Kaufman vs Ronda will be next

Invictus' first card actually ha a lot of good female fighters, and I think two former olympians on it

Marloes has moved back to 145 I think.

She had to lose to much muscle to make 135. That's why she went from faring reasonably well (albeit still being overpowered) against Cyborg, to being taken down at will by every girl she faced at 135. She can't always rely on pulling a sub out of her ass.

Rousey is bulky at 145 and a more regular shape at 135. Marloes is quite lean even at 145. That's why I think that fight is only interesting at 145.

I'll watch this invictus if the fights are easily available.

Your winning streak is your total number of posts, plus the number of threads you have started plus some other number which I don't know.

    I don't get it either.

I can't watch a fight like Rousey v Tate and be indifferent to WMMA, so I'll definitely watch the top level female fights when I can.

Rousey vs Tate and Kaufmann vs Davis were the best fights on the card.

If any top guys had worked for and sunk in an armbar like that, everyone would be going crazy about how good there skills are.
Ribeiro,Garcia,Palhares,Maia,Jacare or any of the Gracies would be proud to finish fights like that.
Also I'd love it if most fights were fought at the pace and with the heart and passion that the kauffman and Davis shown last night, there performance showed more guts and determination and was more exciting than any of the guys on this card.

Both fights for me showed that these fighters are not out of place on any main card.

I'm really looking forward to watching all four back in action and I'm really looking forward to seeing Kaufman vs Rousey.

She worked it well but the technique was really sloppy. She had her legs too far apart which is what allowed Tate to survive so long.

Doesn't actually look broken, looks dislocated at the elbow. Easy enough to pop back in.

Not really, the pressure is supposed to be on the arm just below the elbow. Normally when an arm snaps during an armbar, it's about 2 inches below the elbow. But Rousey was pulling and swinging on the arm and with her sloppy technique, plus Miesha Tate(who is one tough girl) moving around so much trying to get out of it, it's just popped free.

Wonder how much of an impact Miesha leaving Team Alpha Midget had on her preparation.
