Re: General MMA News
At least we know Maruisz is going to get a win when they fight. Im thinking of keeping Sapps fights off the MMA calendar because IMO they arent really an MMA fight as the outcome is fixed.

Re: General MMA News
Why is there no investigation or anything from Athletic commissions after his fights? Surely theres suspicion that he always goes down very easily in the first round...

Actually never mind, just checked and he's never fought an MMA match in the US in his entire career. I wonder why...
He reminds me of Drogba. This massive black guy, one of the most intimidating people you'll see, yet he can be pushed over by a leaf!

Re: General MMA News
He usually has about 1% technique at least, his latest fight though he seems to have just devolved from a K1 kick boxer into a pub brawler.

You know the way girls who can't fight throw punches by flinging their arms out and then flopping their wrists? that's what sap reminds me of. Imagine he once challenged Tyson to fight!

Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran won his 205lb debut by UD under the C3 fight promotion in Oklahoma.
He weighed in at 203lbs
I had to have a double take when I saw his picture.
I didn't even recognize him,great transformation,he looks really healthy at 205lb.
I hope he does well at this weight.

Re: General MMA News
I had to google a picture of Beltran to confrim that really was him! Beltran could get back into UFC id say, you think that he KO'd Houston Alexander before. He was like Nelson in that he hadnt the frame of a heavy and was just out of shape but because he can bang and has an Iron chin he wasnt motivated to move weight class.
Outside UFC I reckon he needs to go after Yvel, Soko would be a good test against a powerfull Judoka, see if he is physical enough at 205 to keep fights standing.
Cracking news, hope he keeps winning. Do you know if he moved camp or anything?

Jesus, that's some transformation. Clearly a natural 205er who's just been too lazy to train properly in the past.

Ross Pearson arrested in Vegas
"The Ultimate Fighter 9" winner Ross Pearson (13-5 MMA, 5-2 UFC) was arrested in Las Vegas early Sunday morning under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Pearson's arrest was first reported by TMZ.com, and MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) subsequently confirmed the incident with Las Vegas authorities.
Pearson was arrested and transported to Clark County Detention Center after officers observed erratic driving, citing his inability to maintain a travel lane as their reason for pulling him over.
A field sobriety test was issued, and Pearson was subsequently arrested.
The British featherweight is currently in Las Vegas to assist UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz with his coaching duties on "The Ultimate Fighter: Live."
Pearson, who was released later the same day of his arrest, has yet to comment on the matter.
Pearson is currently scheduled to fight Cub Swanson on June 22 at UFC on FX 4, marking his second bout as a featherweight. The former lightweight was 4-2 in the octagon before electing to drop to 145 pounds. In his first appearance at the weight, he earned a UFC 141 win over Junior Assuncao. Prior to the move, Pearson had gone just 1-2 in three bouts, slipping a win over Spencer Fisher in between losses to Edson Barboza and Cole Miller.

Amazing p4pnumber_1, Hunt in shape like that is like nothing anyone has ever seen. Wonder what he will weigh in at 245-250 id guess, Bigfoot looks a lot more ripped too. Gracking training partner for Hunt, 270lbs 6"4 BJJ Blackbelt who can outbox Arlovski.
Id love Hunt to get a fight with Carwin.

The Mark Hunt revival has been an unexpected source of joy in an MMA world that has suffered some crushing disappointments (Diaz, Reem) lately. Long may it continue.

I noticed he was on TUF Live last night, anyone know he ended up coaching on Cruz's team or was he drafted in for sparring???
He must know Ogle from home, he tried desperately to stifle a smile when Ogle won!!!
Great performance from Ogle by the way!!!!

Re: General MMA News
Cruz has torn his ACL and is out of the Faber fight.
It is still unknown if there is or will be a replacement fighter for Faber or if this fight will still maintain the co-main event status.
Barao maybe?

Fuck, that's terrible news. Likely have to make the Faber fight for the interim belt regardless of who he faces.

Re: General MMA News
What a shame Cruz is out I was hoping he would shut Faber's mouth up at UFC 148, I've never been Faber's biggest fan but the more I have seen of him on TUF the more I agree with Cruz that he is nothing more than a attention seeker.
I agree with doing Faber v Barao instead to me the Menjivar fight for Barao seemed a big step down and a bit of a pointless fight at 148
