Taken from the official UFC site
Verbal agreements are in for another big bout on the Brazil card. "Undefeated 8-0 Brazilian sensation Edson Barboza takes on Ultimate Fighter 9 winner Ross 'The Real Deal' Pearson," said Dana White. Barboza is coming off a Fight of the Night win in his second UFC outing at UFC 128; Brit Pearson last defeated Spencer Fisher at UFC 127 in Sydney.
UFC 134 in Rio Fight Card Takes Shape updated April 17
After months of anticipation and speculation, the fight card for UFC 134 - the UFC's first return to Brazil since 1998 - has begun to take shape, featuring several of the country's most talented fighters.
Dana White today announced several bouts that have been verbally agreed upon for the momentous event.
Forrest Griffin shocked the world when he spoiled the heavily-favored Pride legend Mauricio “Shogun” Rua's UFC debut in 2007. Now Shogun will have the chance for revenge in his home country as the two will rematch August 27. "These two former world champions always give it their all and this could be one of the most exciting fights of the year," said White.
In a dynamic lightweight matchup, Spencer Fisher is slated to take on Thiago Tavares. In light-heavyweight news, undefeated Stanislav Nedkov will take on devastating Brazilian striker Luiz “Banha” Cane.

After losses to Chris Leben and Michael Bisping, and then proposed matches with Chael Sonnen and Nate Marquadt falling through, Yoshihiro Akiyama can breath a sigh of relief as he is no longer being fed to the dogs....
He's facing Vitor Belfort at UFC 133.

Re: New MMA Calendar
I am a big Sexyama fan but why does he get a fight with highly rated Vitor coming of losses to Leben and Bisping?...which were preceded by a long layoff.....which was proceded by a close split decision victory over Belcher.

Lil Nog VS Rich Franklin at UFC 133, not sure why they didn't just wait 3 weeks and put it at UFC Rio .. suppose the UFC 133 card needs some fights as it is fairly weak at the moment.

DREAM updates:
(NOB)
rumour has it that Aoki will be fighting a fellow former Shooto WW champ; Willamy "Chiquerim" Friere.
considering this is a smaller show and not a numbered event (not Dream 17), i think this looks like a good lineup so far:
QF1 Darren Uyenoyama vs. Atsushi Yamamoto
QF2 Yoshiro Maeda vs. Hideo Tokoro
QF3 Kenji Osawa vs. Takafumi Otsuka
QF4 Masakazu Imanari vs. Keisuke Fujiwara
semi final 1
semi final 2
Akiyo "Wicky" Nishiura vs. Caol Uno
Mitsuhiro Ishida vs. Joachim Hansen
(NOB)
Two Featherweight single fights were announced for the May 29th DREAM Japan GP -2011 Bantamweight Japan Tournament- event today.
Mitsuhiro Ishida will take on Joachim Hansen and Caol Uno will take on Akiyo “Wicky” Nishiura. The DREAM Featherweight division is now at 65kg and since Hiroyuki Takaya has chosen Featherweight over Bantamweight (61kg) he will automatically be champion in the 65kg division. DREAM EP Sasahara said that a title fight might happen sometime this summer and that Kazuyuki Miyata is definitely the top contender right now.
Wicky is training with Urijah Faber and his team in America between April 15th and May 9th.
There’ll be 2-3 more fights. Aoki vs someone, Kikuno vs someone, and possibly another one.

Re: New MMA Calendar
Cant wait for that Dream, Hellboy always entertains. I wonder where Minowa is at? Is he still tiger mask in Wrestling?
Chiquerim is a passible enough new opponent for Aoki, he beat Pitbull and was on a 10 fight winning spree before he lost his last one and got cut by UFC. That being said suppose he is just a guy UFC cut... Lw is a sharktank of a weightclass but 95% of them are under the Zuffa banner now.
Cant wait to see Wicky after a camp with Faber, should be a wee wreckingball!

the good news:
Katsunori Kikuno is fighting one of my favourite fighters Daisuke Nakamura.
confirmed today.
bad news:
Doesnt look like Friere will be able to get a visa to fight Aoki due to his expired passport.

Butterbean is fighting a journeyman boxer for Elite1mma's Shw Title!
Anyway yeah mate for sure its a strange one, Hughes being semi retired I though he would have wanted a Bigger name (I wouldnt have minded him welcoming Diaz to the UFC)
I think Deigo should KO him, Hughes looked very average against
Serra and poor against Gracie, most decent Welters would have finished him a lot sooner...
Hughes seems to be over confident in his standup these days and the Almedia fight is the only time it looked good! Deigo may not be able to hang with Kampmann but he should be able to keep hughes off him long enough to stop him I reckon.
Shame Deigo is staying as a fat welter.

Hendo vs Fedor is, for me, the biggest fight in MMA history. Two of the true greats of the sport.
Palhares is top 5 talent and with a couple of wins can def make the top 5. Him against Sonnen would be good, think he might be the only 185er I'd back over Chael because of his submissions. Palhares vs Bisping would be fun to watch. Only because Palhares would hurt him very badly.

Agree mate, Fedor is the biggest Legend in the sport and he is fighting a guy who is a bigger Legend than Couture and that fight was billed as te superfight of the ages so I hope this one gets the credit it diserves...
Palhares should maby go after Maia, I think he would batter Maia and send him to 170lbs, I think unfortunatles because of the Nate "loss" he will have to aim lower for his next fight though... Id have to check the calendar and see who is free to fight him, not sure what Mw's are free off hand but Belcher is good to go soon I know off hand.
