how is it possible that these guys were in the same weightclass most of their careers?
In the same tournament twice for example.

one of my favourite fighters, Nakamura Daisuke vs ISE at DEEP 51.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj2Q0fr9_C0
Nakamura just toys with him in the stand up the entire fight before getting him with a flying armbar!
he is the master of that move.

well he should definitley be too good for Nick Ring.
he should have been fighting on SRC or DREAM, rather than DEEP, especially sfter coming in and beating Ninja on short notice.
he is talented, good striker but mostly a ground and pound fighter from what i have seen, which isnt alot.

just an aside post about KID yamamoto since i saw this video.
according to KID's management, there has been no deal signed with the UFC, and according to Mr. Tanikawa, they are trying to get him to finish his FEG contract, and fight on NYE.
but whatever happens i hope he has success, and i think he will here is really cool new highlight video
he may be able to milk a cow standing up, but one of the most violent KO artists ever...probably the best counter puncher in MMA (look how many of his KOs come from counter rights), phenominal wrestler (see his scrambles here and how he defends takedowns from Warren).
he could arguably be undefeated now, with his only losses being 2 very close decisions (where he was very rusty) and a cut stoppage 30 seconds into a fight.
anyways i expect him to win his next fight wherever he goes because he has been training on his boxing technique so much lately.

Cheers for that Hl video mate best ive seen in ages, was watching a KID video last week too. Cant wait for his debut at UFC. Wonder if he will be so explosive at 135. I reckon he beats Torres or Faber, dont know if he could keep Cruz off him. How good a wrestler is he in comparison?

thats the same as the emporer's cup/national championships.
i think he would have been a more successful wrestler but he was banned from the japan wrestling association
While he was still wrestling at school KID got into an incident with the Yakuza. The incident occurred when KID accidentally shot a Yakuza in the face with an air gun.[1] The Yakuza tracked where KID was living through his license plate but KID managed to escape by jumping off a balcony. However, during this time KID's sister was married to famous MMA fighter Enson Inoue who had connections with most Yakuza families. Inoue managed to find out what family KID was in trouble with to sort out the problem. After this KID's school didn't want the incident to become public since many major companies have Yakuza ties so KID was expelled from school. The Japan Wrestling Association who also have ties with the Yakuza put KID's wrestling training on probation. Without wrestling, Inoue decided to take care of KID and try him out in training for MMA in the mean time to compete in Shooto.

I really don't think Wanderlei is going to be relevant as a contender ever again unfortunately. at 185, Anderson and Vitor would beat him standing and Okami, Palhares and Sonnen would all control him. Palhares would prob tap him.

Sonnen has replied to what Wandi said in the video
Wanderlei Silva was recently interviewed about potential fights with Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben and said of the former:
"With Sonnen, he is more wrestling. I trained with him one time at Xtreme Couture and I killed him there. I think he is a good opponent for me."
Sonnen's response
You killed who? I was taking it easy on you. Ya looked like Tammy Faye Baker. I went easy so that new face of yours wouldn't fall off.
More guys have worked on your face than it took to build the Pyramids. You look like Lisa Rinna w/a Leprechaun beard, you fool.
Your are a walking punchline. Go fight what's left of Sakuraba in an alley behind a sushi place in Tokyo for 10 Yen apiece.
If it wasn't for me, you would be thrashing around the jungle w/a blowgun trying' to catch breakfast.
So a word to the UNWISE. DON'T TALK ABOUT ME. You don't have the words, I DO. You just got burried. Now run along or I'll do worse tomorrow.
Wanna talk some more about killing me in the gym, y'idiot?
You're lucky your brother Joe's the matchmaker or you'd be sellin' barbecued monkey on the street in Manaus.

As hilarious as some of them are, they're not actually Sonnen.
The best quote off that twitter was the "tell them you pissed off a gangster" one.

Nothing to do with anything but it wasn't worthy of its own thread.

I was looking through the above link to see how John Cena was doing back in the WWE after his sacking, which didn't last long did it? Anyway, like i say, i was reading the results and wondered who Edge beat, besides Kane and Rey, and see Alberto Del Rio. Having no idea who that is, i click on his name and low and behold its only Dos Caras Jr, the guy who was brutally KO'd by CroCop back in '03!
Was a pleasant surprise to see that KO didn't completely ruin his professional career inside the ring

yeah i saw that.
that photo is from before the Warren fight though....but i do think KID will be fighting on the UFC.
I'll believe it when one of the Fertittas or KID himself says it.
